How to Set Up SPF for Google Workspace/Gsuite

• Login into your domain account at your domain host (not your Google Admin console).
• Navigate to updating your domain’s DNS records.

A few possible names for this page include DNS control, name server management, and advanced settings.

• Locate your TXT records, then see if your domain already has an SPF record.
• The SPF record’s heading is “v=spf1.”
• Add a TXT record with the following information if your domain does not already have an SPF record:

Name, host, and alias: (Alternatively, leave blank)
The right entry might be indicated by other DNS records for your domain.
3600 is the Time to Live (TTL) value, or use the default.
Value/Answer/Destination: _spf.google.com -all v=spf1

• Add the following to your domain’s SPF record if one already exists:

include: spf.google.com

• Don’t generate any more SPF records.
• Save the record.

Note: Your new SPF record takes effect within 48 hours.
