DKIM uses cryptographic signatures and public-key infrastructure to verify that an email message has not been altered during transit and that it truly came from the claimed sender. Email senders can use DKIM to sign their messages by adding a DKIM-Signature header field to the messages. Email receivers can then use the public key published in the DNS to verify the signature and check that the message has not been tampered with.
DKIM is not enabled on EveryCloud by default. With the free assistance of EveryCloud’s support staff, you may enable it.
Steps to Configure DKIM for EveryCloud
You must configure a CNAME record in EveryCloud’s DNS to point to the public key if you want to allow DKIM signing for your domains.
Substitute the name of the domain for which you want to configure DKIM for yourdomainname.com. You do not need to publish the CNAME record on your DNS if you merely wish to utilize DKIM to authenticate incoming emails.
After that, there are a few additional steps to take in order to finish the DKIM activation process on EveryCloud. These include:
Send an email to EveryCloud with the topic Enable DKIM and make sure to include the following details:
List of domains for which you wish to enable DKIM Indicate whether you want to use DKIM for signing and validation, just for validation (for incoming emails only), or just for signing
A confirmation that you have configured the CNAME record(s) described above for your domain (s)
Your outgoing email will be signed with a crypto key in the header after activation before it leaves EveryCloud’s email sending server.
