DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication system designed to detect email spoofing. It allows organizations to take responsibility for transmitting a message, while providing a mechanism to verify that the message was not altered during transit. DKIM uses cryptographic signatures and public-key infrastructure to verify that an email message has not been altered during transit, and that it truly came from the claimed sender. Email senders can use DKIM to sign their messages by adding a DKIM-Signature header field to the messages. Email receivers can then use the public key published in the DNS to verify the signature and check that the message has not been tampered with.
Steps to Configure DKIM for CleverReach
You don’t need to manually configure DKIM if you’re a CleverReach customer sending emails from their internal servers because CleverReach has you covered! CleverReach automatically signs each email sent using DKIM encryption keys.
To authenticate your emails, you must set up DKIM for your sending domains if you want to send emails from your own domain.
How to configure DKIM on CleverReach
Fill out your CleverReach account with your new sending domain.
To access DKIM, go to My Account > Settings.
For any additional domains, CleverReach automatically creates your DKIM DNS TXT record.
If you are a CleverReach customer who uses their internal servers to send your emails, then you don’t need to manually configure DKIM as CleverReach has got you covered! All outgoing emails from CleverReach are automatically signed with DKIM encryption keys.
Although the selector is initially configured with the value s=default, you can choose whatever selector you like.
Select the “I” symbol next to the added domain on CleverReach to view your DKIM key.
In order to complete this step, add the DKIM DNS entry to your domain’s DNS(if you don’t have access to your DNS, contact your provider).
